Updated April 10, 2025: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience.

This message only applies to organizations that have Microsoft Exchange Online licenses assigned in their tenant.

Coming soon: A new Exchange Web Services (EWS) usage report in the Microsoft 365
admin center that provides insights into the non-Microsoft (third-party) applications
in your tenant that use EWS. The report provides detailed information on the
specific actions performed by these applications and their call volumes over a selected period. The new report enhances your ability to
understand EWS activity prior to EWS deprecation in Microsoft Exchange Online.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 469510.

When this will happen:

General Availability (Worldwide): We began rolling out late April 2025 (previously late March) and expect to complete by early May 2025 (previously early April).

How this will affect your organization:

The new report will be available by default in Microsoft 365 admin center > M365 Activity reports > Exchange usage tab > EWS usage.

What you need to do to prepare:

This rollout will happen automatically by the specified dates with no admin action required before the rollout. Review your current configuration to assess the impact on your organization.

Before rollout, we will update this post with revised documentation.
