Mailbox Time/Date-Language Configurations in Exchange Server

Exchange ServerTime, date and language configurations are made for each e-mail account created in , this process is generally asked when performing the LOGIN process via OWA after the first account is created.

In this article, we will configure the Date/Time and Language for the mail accounts we created on the Exchange Server using PowerShell.

Set Time Zone for a Single Mailbox in Exchange Server

To set the time zone for a specific user, you can use the following PowerShell command:

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity "KullanıcıAdı" -TimeZone "Istanbul"

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity Cengiz -TimeZone "Istanbul"

Set Time Zone and Language for a Single Mailbox in Exchange Server

To set both time zone and language for a user, you can use the following command:

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity "KullanıcıAdı" -TimeZone "Istanbul" –Language "tr-TR"

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity Cengiz -TimeZone "Istanbul" –Language "tr-TR"

Set Time Zone, Language, Date and Time Format for a Single Mailbox in Exchange Server

To set a user's time zone, language, date, and time format:

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity "KullanıcıAdı" -TimeZone "Istanbul" –Language "tr-TR" -DateFormat "dd/MM/yyyy" -TimeFormat "HH:mm"

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity Cengiz -TimeZone "Istanbul" –Language "tr-TR" -DateFormat "dd/MM/yyyy" -TimeFormat "HH:mm"

Set Time Zone for All Mailboxes in Exchange Server

To set the time zone for all user mailboxes in the organization:

$Users = Get-Mailbox -ResultSize unlimited -Filter {(RecipientTypeDetails -eq 'UserMailbox')}
$Users | ForEach {Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration $_.Identity -TimeZone "Istanbul"}

Set Both Time Zone and Language for All Mailboxes in Exchange Server

To set both time zone and language for all user mailboxes in the organization:

$Users = Get-Mailbox -ResultSize unlimited -Filter {(RecipientTypeDetails -eq 'UserMailbox')}
$Users | ForEach {Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration $_.Identity -TimeZone "Istanbul" –Language "tr-TR"}

Set Correct Time Zone for Mailboxes with Wrong Time Zone in Exchange Server

To set mailboxes with the wrong time zone to the correct time zone:

$Mailboxes = Get-Mailbox
ForEach ($Mailbox in $Mailboxes) {
    $RegionalConfig = Get-MailboxRegionalConfiguration –Identity $Mailbox.Identity
    if ($RegionalConfig.TimeZone -ne "Istanbul") {

    }
}

Set Time Zone for a Single OU in Exchange Server

To set the time zone for all mailboxes in a specific Organizational Unit (OU):

Get-Mailbox -OrganizationalUnit "careexchange.in/Users" | Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -TimeZone "Istanbul"
