Microsoft, on April 20, 2022 Exchange Server 2019 has released KB12, which is Cumulative Update 12 (CU5011156) for Windows. This update includes fixes for many security and non-security issues and includes all previous fixes.

Exchange Server 2019 CU12 New Features:
- To prevent misuse of UNC paths, UNC paths are no longer accepted in Exchange Server PowerShell cmdlets and Exchange Admin Center (EAC).
Exchange Server 2019 CU12 Known Issues and Workarounds:
- MSExchangeServiceHost Service Crashing Issue:
- The MSExchangeServiceHost service crashes frequently and Event ID 4999 is recorded in the Windows Application event log.
- Workaround: You can find more information about this issue that occurred after the March 2022 security update on Microsoft's support pages.
- Get-MailboxDatabaseCopyStatus Cmdlet Problem:
- From Exchange Server 2013 this cmdlet fails on 2019 and 2016 servers, returning error code 4xe0 from RpccGetCopyStatusEx0434352.
- Workaround: Run the cmdlet from Exchange Server 2019 or 2016 servers.
- EAC Access Errors:
- Attempts to check database status from EAC may fail with “HTTP 500” or “Your request could not be completed” errors.
- Workaround: Make sure that the admin mailbox is on Exchange Server 2019 or 2016. If not, verify that all administrative mailboxes like “SystemMailbox{bb558c35-97f1-4cb9-8ff7-d53741dc928c}” are on the respective servers.
- Get-EmailAddressPolicy Cmdlet Error:
- This cmdlet throws the error “Microsoft.Exchange.Diagnostics.BlockedDeserializeTypeException”.
- Sending Large Attachments with iPhone:
- When sending emails with large attachments, you may receive the error message "Unable to Send Mail - Your mailbox is full."
